🗓️ Days of the Week (వారంలో రోజులు)

Think of the week as a 7-car train, each car has a special name!

🌟 Quick Pattern

Notice how ALL days end in వారం (vaaram)? That means “day” in Telugu!

Example Sentences:

• నేడు ఆదివారం (Nedu Aadi-vaaram) = Today is Sunday
• రేపు సోమవారం (Repu Soma-vaaram) = Tomorrow is Monday
• నిన్న శనివారం (Ninna Shani-vaaram) = Yesterday was Saturday

The Magic Formula

[Number] + గంటలు (gantalu) = [Number] o’clock

Adding Minutes

[Hour] గంటలు + [Minutes] నిమిషాలు (nimishaalu)

• 3:30 = మూడున్నర (Moodunnara) = “Three and half”
• 4:15 = నాలుగు గంటల పావు (Naalugu gantala paavu) = “Quarter past four”
• 5:45 = ఆరుకి పావు తక్కువ (Aaruki paavu takkuva) = “Quarter to six”

AM & PM in Telugu

Example:

• ఉదయం 7 గంటలు (Udayam 7 gantalu) = 7 AM
• రాత్రి 9 గంటలు (Raatri 9 gantalu) = 9 PM

The Formula

Think of it as: “To me [X] years” - Telugu counts years that belong to you!

Asking Someone’s Age

• మీ వయసు ఎంత? (Mee vayasu enta?) = What is your age? (Polite)
• నీ వయసు ఎంత? (Nee vayasu enta?) = What is your age? (Casual)
